The Bachelor: Hannah Brown drops bomb on Peter Weber leaving him ‘confused’ on season 24 premiere

Hannah Brown dropped a bomb on Peter Weber during The Bachelor‘s season 24 premiere Monday, telling him she questioned her decision to let him go.

The 25-year-old reality star who’d rejected Peter, 28, on the most recent season of The Bachelorette, interrupted his group date to announce she still had feelings for him.

Peter, a pilot from Westlake Village, California, had been trying to move on after Hannah chose someone else, but her sudden appearance left him ‘confused.’

In a shocking moment, he asked her to rejoin the show, and she seemed to be mulling it over.

‘What would you—this is so insane—what would you say if I asked you to come be part of the house?’ Peter asked the 2019 Dancing With The Stars champion.

‘I mean… maybe,’ Hannah conceded, her eyes filling with tears. ‘Oh my gosh.’

Peter had already been devastated by Hannah’s dismissal of him last July, when she got engaged to Nashville musician Jed Wyatt, 25.

Good question: Peter asked Hannah if she would consider returning to the show

Hannah dumped Jed after he lied to her about his relationship with another woman, and she told Peter that she regretted not giving him a chance.

‘My heart was very confused,’ she recalled, as her mascara ran. ‘I don’t know what I did. I don’t know. I don’t know what the f*** I was doing. I don’t know. I’m really f***ed up.’

It was a heartbreaking admission, made worse by the fact that Peter had finally declared himself over her and was seeking to start a new romance.

‘I never expected to feel the way I felt with Hannah,’ he shared at the top of the show. ‘I fell in love. I felt it with my heart 100 percent. Unfortunately, I was left with a broken heart.’

But when show host Chris Harrison, 48, asked him if he was over Hannah, Peter said he was.

‘I am,’ he offered, a bit hesitantly. ‘I am. I would not be here tonight if I wasn’t ready to put that behind me, and move forward.’

Moving on: Peter earlier told host Chris Harrison that he was over Hannah

During the three-hour premiere, the dashing pilot was introduced to 30 women who all seemed besotted with him, and said he was excited for his ‘big night.’

One by one, women in gowns poured out of limos, sportscars, and bicycles, bearing presents, making him dance with them, telling bad jokes, and trying to gain his attention.

Many of them appealed to Peter’s love of flying, among them Madison Prewett, 23, a foster-parent recruiter from Auburn, Alabama, who arrived in a giant paper plane, and house flipper Tammy Ly, 24, from Syracuse, NY, who waved a metal detector in front of Peter’s ‘package.’

Shiann Lewis, 27, an administrative assistant from Las Vegas, gave him a barf bag to use for ‘nauseating conversations,’ while nursing student Jenna Serrano, 22, from New Lenox, Illinois, brought an ’emotional support cow’ named Ashley P., which one woman called ‘a pony.’

Cosmetologist Courtney Perry, 26, from Venice, Florida, rode up to Peter on a rickety airplane-shaped bike, waved in by two men holding landing lights.

Kiarra Norman, 23, a nanny from Kennesaw, Georgia, hid inside a suitcase being rolled to Peter in a pile of luggage. When he helped her out, she said, ‘I’ve made it to my final destination.’

‘That’s like some David Copperfield s***,’ Chris told Peter. ‘We should cut her in half later.’

Three flight attendants arrived, among them Eunice Cho, 23, from Chicago, who wore angel wings as she got out of the limo, and told Peter she was planning to ‘just wing it.’

That piqued Peter’s interest, and he explained: ‘I’m looking for my co-pilot.’

Some women threw shade at Hannah, hoping to replace her in Peter’s affections.

Sydney Hightower, 24, a retail marketing manager from Birmingham, Alabama, distanced herself from Tuscaloosa-born Hannah, saying: ‘Not every girl from ‘Bama makes bad decisions.’

Hannah Ann Sluss, 23, from Knoxville, Tennessee, then told him: ‘Hopefully you can save room for another Hannah in your heart.’

Peter and Hannah once had sex in a windmill four times, and it was a topic for much discussion among the women, many of whom offered to keep his sex streak going.

They brought him condoms, kissed him blindfolded, joked about their readiness, and wore windmills on their back, with one mentioning her ‘hairless pussy… cat,’ named Jasmine.

Chicago attorney Kelley Flanagan, 27, had encountered Peter at a hotel one month before, when she was attending a wedding and he was there for his 10-year school reunion.

She hadn’t planned on coming on the show, but took it as a sign that it was right.

‘To be completely honest with you, I have not stopped thinking about you after that night that we met,’ Peter told her later, admitting that he felt ‘a spark.’

Just as the women were getting worried about the number of those who’d already arrived, a limo pulled up and Hannah stepped out, stunning Peter and making the women scream.

‘When I heard that you’re going to be the Bachelor, I had mixed emotions,’ Hannah told him. ‘But when I stood where you are, you wanted to find your co-pilot. You gave me something, and I want you to find that person, and so I brought these back for you.’

She handed him a pair of golden wings he’d given her on their first meeting, and the two of them teared up as they hugged for a long time.

After she left, he spoke to the women with his voice breaking, and said: ‘If anything… seeing her tonight has kind of just given me hope, moving forward… that this can happen again.’

He bonded quickly with Alayah Benavidez, a 24-year-old orthodontist’s assistant from San Antonio, Texas, who brought a letter from her grandmother, and Hannah Ann, who gave him a painting she’d done of the Smoky Mountains.

He and the model were both close to their families, and Peter had a ‘good feeling’ about her, kissing her right away and giving her a first impression rose.

Hannah Ann quickly alienated the other women by constantly stepping in on their time with Peter, and he wasn’t the only one to do that, either.

Fashion blogger Mykenna Dom, 22, from Langley, British Columbia, threw paper airplanes at one woman to get more time. To retaliate, the woman threw the large paper airplane at her, telling her to ‘Fly away on it.’

Peter dismissed three women that night, then took nine more on a group date the next day.

He enlisted two female pilots—Captain Katie Cook, the first female Blue Angel, and Alisa Johnson, who flies for the Marines—to put the women through ‘flight school.’

They were asked to do math problems, figure out aviation terminology, and spin on a gyroscope that imitated the feeling of in-air turbulence.

Victoria Paul, a 24-year-old nurse from Alexandria, Lousiana, threw up, but Peter brought her water, and later, flowers to make her feel better.

Kelley then won an obstacle course race and scored a private sunset flight up the coast with Peter, frustrating runner-up Shiann, who alleged she cheated.

That night, everyone gathered at a hotel that happened to be the one Kelley and Peter first met at, and the two of them recalled their initial encounter.

Peter reassured Kelley that he’d protect her if the other women started sniping about them, and the two of them made out.

The first one-on-one date then went to Madison, who attended the vow renewal of Peter’s parents, getting married again after 33 years.

Everyone cried as Peter officiated the ceremony, his parents shared their vows and Madison caught the bouquet.

Peter and Madison then danced to live music by Canadian country music singer Tenille Arts and were joined by Peter’s family for their ‘perfect’ date.

The second group date found eight women being asked to write stories about their sex lives before reading them aloud to an audience.

To their amazement, Hannah planned the whole activity, and she showed up in the theater where they gathered, standing in front of a silhouetted windmill.

‘I’m just like, ”Oh my God, that’s Hannah Brown”,’ Alayah shared. ‘But wait—why? Why are you here? She came by night one, and now she’s back again. Like, that’s a little awkward.’

Hannah went on to recount the steamy story of how she and Peter had sex four times in that windmill, making it uncomfortably clear to the women that she was still interested in him.

Peter cringed, watching it, and said: ‘This is so weird, with my ex and then new girls. Ay yi yi.’

Backstage, a producer asked Hannah how she was feeling about seeing Peter again.

‘I don’t know,’ she considered, swallowing hard. ‘I know that I care for him. I know that I loved him, but I know it doesn’t work. Sometimes it doesn’t work.’

When Peter ran into her, she could barely speak to him, she was so overcome by emotion.

‘I’m not okay,’ she admitted. ‘Sorry. I’m really sorry. I’m really happy for you, but it’s just a lot.’

Seeing him at the mansion had been ‘terrible,’ she added, and Peter confided that he hoped for a moment she was joining the contestants for the season.

Getting emotional: Peter later ran into Hannah who could barely speak

She sobbed as she told Peter that she had since questioned everything that happened.

‘You asked Tyler out on the last episode,’ Peter pointed out, referring to runner-up Tyler Cameron, 26, whom she flirted with on the show’s After the Reunion special.

‘Did it ever cross your mind to maybe ask me instead? I haven’t asked you that and it’s been on my mind for a long time.’

When Hannah said she’d still felt something seeing him at the show, Peter said that watching her ask Tyler out was too much, adding: ‘I don’t want to be someone’s third option.’

Peter said that he’d felt ‘zero doubt’ about her before she made her decision, and had been sure that she would announce his name instead of Jed’s.

‘I told you I had no doubts that it was you and Jed,’ Hannah remembered. ‘You were gonna meet my family.’

‘You never told me that,’ a stunned Peter replied.

‘I don’t think I wanted to change my mind about Jed,’ Hannah confessed. ‘It was comfortable. It was falling back into the same thing. But like, I’ve broke everybody’s heart in this, and my own, through this experience.’

Peter said his heart sank when she asked Tyler out, and Hannah reminded him that he’d never reached out to her after everything they went through—so she just let him be.

‘I thought you wanted to be the Bachelor,’ she related. ‘And I walked out there, and I saw you, and I felt a lot more than I thought I was going to. I didn’t think it would be that much spark. Because I know that there’s still something there.’

‘I don’t know what to do right now,’ Peter shared. ‘I’m so confused. This is the first week this whole thing is starting. And I’m obviously not 100 percent where I thought I was. I don’t know what to do.’

‘I can’t help how my heart feels,’ he told the cameras. ‘I look at her, and I just don’t want to stop looking at her. And I want to just kiss her, and just like, have had all this work out.’

‘And it didn’t, and I know it didn’t, and I feel like such a jerk, because I have such an awesome group of girls here expecting to meet someone that was truly ready to have this work for them as well. And… ughh. I don’t know.’

The Bachelor continues next Monday on ABC.
